2.2 Core Performance Features
The ALKB9601 portable micro-pressure pump features the following notable characteristics:
Easy to operate: Adjust pressure by turning the fine-tuning knob by hand. To increase pressure, turn the fine-tuning handle inwards; to decrease pressure, turn it outwards. Simple and effortless operation.
High precision: Adjustable fineness down to 1 Pa, meeting the demands of high-precision pressure calibration.
Stable performance: Smooth voltage conversion with minimal leakage ensures the accuracy and reliability of the calibration process.
Positive and negative pressure calibration: Equipped with positive and negative pressure calibration capabilities to meet the calibration requirements of various types of pressure instruments.
Portable and lightweight: Weighing just 1.3kg with compact dimensions (100x200x115mm), it is easy to carry and use on-site.
III. Primary Application Areas
The ALKB9601 micro-pressure pump is widely employed for pressure calibration tasks across multiple sectors:
Industrial Automation: Calibrating pressure transmitters and sensors on production lines to ensure accurate pressure measurement throughout the manufacturing process.
Petrochemical Industry: Calibrating various pressure gauges and pressure control equipment within the petroleum and chemical sectors to ensure safe production practices.
Pharmaceutical industry: During the manufacturing process, high-precision pressure measurement equipment is calibrated to ensure pharmaceutical quality meets regulatory standards.
Laboratory Research: Providing precise pressure calibration for research institutions to support all manner of pressure-related experimental studies (1).
Metrological testing organisation: Serving as a standard instrument, it is employed for the verification and calibration of pressure measuring instruments, ensuring the accuracy of measurement traceability.
Teaching and Training: For the instruction and practical training of pressure measurement principles within academic institutions and training organisations.
In practical applications, the ALKB9601 micro-pressure pump demonstrates outstanding performance and reliability, meeting pressure calibration requirements across diverse industries and scenarios. Its advantages are particularly pronounced in applications demanding high-precision, high-stability pressure output.
IV. Operation and Maintenance Guide
Operating procedure
Positive pressure testing
Open the pressure relief valve and adjust the fine-tuning knob to the appropriate position (by swinging it outwards). Install the positive pressure standard gauge and the gauge under test at the pressure outlet, then close the pressure relief valve. Manually crank the handle inwards to build pressure to approximately the calibration point, stabilise for 1–2 minutes, and once the standard gauge reading stabilises, use the precision fine-tuning knob to adjust to the calibration point. Upon completion of calibration, open the pressure relief valve. Only after pressure has been fully released may the test gauge and standard gauge be removed.
When a gradual drop in pressure reading is observed during pressurisation (indicating a slight leak), tighten the pressure relief valve.
Negative pressure testing
Install the vacuum gauge and the gauge under test on the two pressure output ports. Swing the handle inward until resistance is felt. Close the pressure relief valve. Slowly swing the handle outward to the calibration point, stabilising for 1–2 minutes. Once the gauge reading stabilises, use the precision adjustment to fine-tune to the calibration point. Upon completion of calibration, open the pressure relief valve. Only after pressure has been fully released may the gauge under test and the gauge be removed.
Points to Note
Portable micro-pressure pumps should be placed on a level, easily accessible surface and avoided in environments containing highly corrosive gases or dust particles.
Ensure proper sealing at the connection points during use, as inadequate sealing may result in pressure leakage.
Regularly wipe down all components of the micro-pressure pump; ensure no liquid enters the piping during measurements.
Cover the instrument with a cloth cover when not in use to prevent dust ingress.
